Brixton, Boots and Bottlemen

So, for the last few weeks I’ve been looking for some new boots and these are the result (and the compromise). I couldn’t quite work out whether mock-croc is fantastic or the ultimate fash f-up, so tried on some pretty outrageous versions and then decided to go for a toned down version that I could wear as a staple.

These are the perfect day – dusk boot and I’m living in them. Obviously, trying to pretend its still summer, I’m teaming them with floaty skirts and chunky knits or chucking them on with the old favourite of black skinnies and an oversized T. Tempted?

On Friday night we had guest tickets (oooh) to Catfish at Brixton Academy and I took my boots on a little adventure. As always the boys put on a great show and I wrote a little review. You can check it out here.

On a side note, we also had dinner at an authentic Eritrean restaurant that had been recommended by a friend. Asmara, just around the corner from Brixton market is a little known gem. Both unpretentious and uncompromising, the vegetarian sharing dishes and injera (a doughy flatbread which acts as your cutlery – so fun) were super tasty and filling. We almost didn’t need the freshly roasted coffee and huge bowl of popcorn – almost.

Go, go, go.
